The Double Edge Sword Based Distributed Executor Service

چکیده

Scalability is one of the most important quality attribute software-intensive systems, because it maintains an effective performance parallel to large fluctuating and sometimes unpredictable workload. In order achieve scalability, thread pool system (TPS) (which also known as executor service) has been used extensively a middleware service in systems. TPS optimization challenging problem that determines optimal size dynamically on runtime. case distributed-TPS (DTPS), another issue load balancing b/w available set TPSs running at backend servers. Existing DTPSs are overloaded either due inappropriate strategy servers or improper scheme cannot quickly recover overload. Consequently, suffered. Thus, this paper, we propose new DTPS follows collaborative round robin effect double-edge sword. On hand, effectively performs (in overload situation) among by fast recovery procedure decelerates up their capacities shifts remaining towards other gracefully TPSs. And its robust deceleration technique which applied sets appropriate upper bound size, each kept equal request rate it, hence optimizes TPS. We evaluated results proposed against state art client-server based simulator found our outperformed sustaining smaller response times.

The double-edge sword of TNF- in ischemia-reperfusion injury

INFLAMMATION HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED for several years as an underlying factor in the initial responses to ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) (1). The microcirculation constitutes the initial barrier in I/R in all tissues, and thus it represents an important target for therapeutic interventions. While a large body of research on myocardial I/R has focused on understanding the bases of the deranged metaboli...

The double-edge sword effect of anti-CD73 cancer therapy

We and others have identified CD73 as a new cancer target. I hereafter discuss that targeted blockade of CD73 has the effect of a "double-edge sword," able on the one hand to rescue endogenous adaptive anti-tumor immune responses, and on the other hand, inhibit the metastatic potential of tumor cells.

Stercoral colitis complicated with ischemic colitis: a double-edge sword

BACKGROUND Stercoral colitis is a rare inflammatory process involving the colonic wall secondary to fecal impaction with high morbidity and mortality; especially if complicated with ischemic colitis, stercoral ulcer formation and subsequent perforation. There are several case reports published on abdominal perforation resulting from stercoral colitis. However, stercoral colitis complicated by i...

Pleiotropic Effects of Glitazones: A Double Edge Sword?

Glitazones (thiazolidinediones) are drugs used for diabetes mellitus type 2. By binding to peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) they modulate transcription of genes of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Through PPARγ stimulation, however, glitazones also affect other genes, encompassing inflammation, cell growth and differentiation, angiogenesis, which broads their therapeutic p...
